Up and running in four steps.

Install
Add InfluenceGift from the Shopify App Store. It installs into your Admin in seconds — no theme changes.

Create a code
Open InfluenceGift, click Create gift code, set the free-product limit and options, and save.

Share it
Send the code to your influencer by DM, email, or link. No account needed on their side.

Track
Watch usage counts update on your dashboard as codes get redeemed at checkout.

Creating a gift code
From the dashboard, choose Create gift code. Give it an internal label (e.g. “Spring Collab”), keep the auto-suggested code or type your own, choose whether it applies to all products or specific collections, and set the maximum number of free products. Optionally enable free shipping, set total and per-customer usage limits, and an expiry date. Save — the code is live immediately.
How partial gifting works
Your “max free products” setting is a hard cap. If a cart contains more eligible items than the limit, only the first N are made free and the remaining items are charged at full price. This protects you from accidentally gifting an entire cart.
Free shipping
When enabled on a code, all shipping options at checkout are set to free for that order. Free shipping is controlled independently from the product discount, so you can offer one, the other, or both.
Editing, deactivating & deleting codes
You can edit a code’s settings at any time; the code string itself is fixed once created. Deactivate pauses a code so it can no longer be used while keeping its data. Delete removes it permanently from Shopify and from InfluenceGift (a two-click confirmation prevents accidents).
Targeting specific collections
Choose “Specific collections” when creating a code and pick one or more collections with Shopify’s native picker. Only products in those collections will be eligible to be gifted with that code.
Data & privacy
InfluenceGift stores only your gift-code settings and anonymous usage events — never customer personal data. It implements all of Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
A code isn’t working — what should I check?
Make sure the code is Active, hasn’t hit its usage limit, and hasn’t expired. Confirm the cart contains products that match the code’s “applies to” setting. Still stuck? Email support@devhoot.com with the code label and we’ll help.
